Closure wigs are the easiest way to get a natural-looking part with less lace to manage. Instead of lace across the whole hairline, a closure wig has a smaller lace square at the front center of the cap, usually 4x4, 4x6 or 4x7 inches. What Is a Closure Wig?

A closure wig uses a lace closure piece to create the part and the front of the hairline, while the rest of the cap is made with wefts. The lace lets you part the hair in the middle or slightly to the side, and the wefted cap makes the wig lighter, more breathable and more affordable than a full frontal wig.

4x4 vs 4x6 vs 4x7 Closure Sizes

• 4x4 closure: 4 inches wide and 4 inches deep, the classic choice for a middle part or small side part.
• 4x6 closure: the same width but 2 inches deeper, so you get a longer, more natural-looking part.
• 4x7 closure: the deepest closure option, close to the parting space of a frontal while staying lightweight.

Closure Wig vs Lace Frontal Wig

A lace frontal wig has lace from ear to ear, so you can part the hair anywhere and wear it pulled back. A closure wig covers less of the hairline, which means less lace to cut and melt, less glue, quicker installs and a lower price.
